TSI was founded in 1989 to provide consulting and contracted programming
services to customers in diverse industries throughout the Southeast. At
that time, our primary focus was mainframe systems new project development
and maintenance. In the early 90’s however, TSI’s talents were recognized
on a wider scale, and with the encouragement and urging of our existing
customers, TSI branched out to provide not only applications development
and design, but network services and help desk management. The TSI of today
offers project management and strategic consulting, in addition to software
development and network management using the latest technologies and tools.
TSI’s dedication to our customers has been recognized by several
industry awards:
In 1996, TSI was selected as a South Carolina Blue Chip Enterprise. This
award recognized TSI as a small business enterprise with the ability to
meet business challenges and prosper, creatively and successfully.
The Inc. 500 recognizes the 500 fastest growing, privately held
companies in America.
TSI was named to this prestigious list. TSI’s innovative approach to
computer consulting and its ability to meet and exceed the needs of the
customer brought about growth of over 500% in its first five years.
TSI’s Owner and President was awarded South Carolina’s Entrepreneur of
the Year for 1996. This national program honors entrepreneurs who have
demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success through innovation,
financial performance and personal commitment to their business and
community. 1996 also saw TSI
complete and move into its new corporate headquarters. In 2008, our owner and president was
named “Enterprising Woman of the Year” by Enterprising Woman
Magazine.
The March, 1996 issue of The Greater Columbia Business Monthly magazine
featured TSI’s success as its cover story. TSI was named a semifinalist for
the Inc. Marketing Masters Awards in recognition of Innovative Marketing
Ideas, and TSI’s owner was named runner-up at the US Small Business
Administration’s “Small Business Person of the Year” awards. She also
served as the Greater Columbia Small Business Person of the year.
TSI was one of only two SC-based technology companies to be highlighted
in South Carolina Commerce magazine in its special technology issue used to
recruit companies into South
Carolina.
